    Sense International started in the UK and was set up in 2004, working towards education, health, social protection and advocacy/economic empowerment for those with deaf blindness. Sense International Kenya was established in 2005 as a local organization with an independent board.
    This project is being implemented by 3 consortia partners with a wealth of experience in advocacy and technical expertise in disability issues in Kenya. Sense International – Kenya is the lead partner and the other consortia members are  Action for Children with Disabilities (ACD) network and United Disabled Person of Kenya (UDPK).

      Inclusive Education for Children project advances the rights of learners with disabilities to access quality inclusive education through advocacy and collective action to ensure the next National Education Sector Strategic Plan (NESSP) Kenya promotes inclusive education for all learners with disabilities.
      This is achieved through:
      1) Establishing and building capacity for advocacy of inclusive advocacy committees made up of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), parents of learners with disabilities, and Inclusive Education experts.
      2) Collective advocacy and influencing at national and county levels to ensure that the National Education Sector Strategic Plan - (NESSP) 2018 - 2022 includes key aspects of Inclusive Education for all learners with disabilities.
